We have now been organising sporting breaks now since 1988, specialising in smaller groups on an informal and friendly basis often for people having never tried a particular sport.
Based in Dumfries and Galloway and having built good relationships with local estates as well as obtaining some excellent ground on which we keeper ourselves, we can offer over 20,000 acres of lowland countryside from natural oak woodlands, game crops, conifer plantations, bracken bankings and grassy moors. We now also have 12 ponds for evening flights at ducks.
We pride ourselves in producing smaller informal days with good company as well as good sport for those who appreciate the traditions of shooting and our fortune to have such beautiful countryside in which to enjoy it.
We can arrange packages to suit whether one gun for a weeks mixture of sport from pike fishing to snipe shooting or full teams for a weeks pheasant shooting from 45 to 200 bird days and duck flights or indeed a mixture of any of the above.
Our Pheasant shooting ranges from Rough days, 50, 75 bird mini days to 100, 150 & 200 bird days and prices locally are normally around £21 per bird.
Days start with the famous Clachan Inn breakfast and generally we start shooting by 10am, lunches vary from pack lunches to Castle kitchens depending on venue. The option of Duck and Goose flights may be available depending on the weather.
