Deerstalking
The terrain in Dumfries & Galloway offers some exciting habitat in which to stalk. The majority of local stalking is for Roe Deer but we are fortunate to be associated with one of the few remaining estates in the area offering the opportunity of Galloway Red deer.
The Clachan is situated at the foot of the Galloway hills and is ideally located to access much of the local stalking. We are able to arrange on your behalf stalking through several estates and local organisations as well as our own ground nearby to the hotel. All rooms at the Clachan have security cabinets along with drying facilities as does our self catering cottage.

Roe Does (Oct 21st – March 31st)
Roe Bucks (April 1st- Oct 20th)
Red Hinds (Oct 21st – Feb 15th)
Red Stags (July 1st – Oct 20th)

Prices vary according to Red or Roe, Hinds or Stags and Does or Bucks not to mention Estates and Stalkers. We would be pleased to to assit you in arranging your trip and would confirm prices upon receipt of your requirements.
