Cycling
The Glenkens and Southern Scotland are ideal for biking - both on and off the road! It's little wonder fact that Kirkpatrick Macmillan invented the bike here in 1838 in the village of Keir Mill by Moniaive! Rolling hills, gentle glens and loch and riverside roads offer the perfect landscape for longer cycle rides, while brooding hills and forests present the ultimate landscape for a more extreme challenge.
The Clachan is the ideal location to be based with vehicle support available should you require it. Located in the Glenkens at the base of the Galloway hills provides excellent roads, not too busy, from which to explore this remarkable landscape.
